Visiting the Brisbane Showgrounds
The Brisbane Showgrounds is located just 1.5km from the city’s CBD in Bowen Hills.
It’s bordered by Bowen Bridge Road, O'Connell Terrace, Brookes Street and St Paul's Terrace and is home to the state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC), a four and a half star Rydges Hotel and vibrant King Street dining hub.
It’s also in walking distance of Fortitude Valley, which boasts some of the best boutique shopping in Brisbane along with a diverse range of entertainment options.
Public transport is easily accessible and Brisbane’s Domestic and International Airports are just a quick 15 minute taxi ride away.

There are 10 separate car parking facilities within the Brisbane Showgrounds, with a total capacity of almost 2,500 vehicles.
Parking is available on weekdays and event days (excluding public holidays) and costs:

Owned by restauranters Erica & George Gregan, The George features a full breakfast, lunch and dinner classic bistro menu, along with a GG Espresso outlet and full bar service. Happy hour is from 3.30 – 4.30pm daily, on all wines by the glass, beers and house spirits.

Fat Dumpling offers authentic signature dumplings and home-style dishes from family recipes. It truly is a family affair, with Owner David Wang's wife Janet hand making the dumplings while his daughter, architect Ting, designed the internal fit-out.

Sushi & Nori serves premium sushi and Asian cuisine with a modern twist. They believe in creating food that is simple, natural and delicious. Dine in and enjoy the sushi train or grab some takeaway if you're on the go.

Il Verde is King Street’s modern Italian dining destination. Their menu features hearty pastas and delicious wood-fired pizzas, with the flavours coming from fresh and sustainable ingredients. Il Verde’s owners, Dom and Simon Barakat and Ibrahim (Bob) Haddid, boast a combined 40 years of experience in the industry.

Hello Chicken serves delicious fried chicken from a bright yellow Kombi van. Their special recipes include Korean Chilli fried chicken, Soy and Garlic, Snow Cheese, Carbonara and Crazy Hot Chilli. Eat in or take away at this on trend street-side food van.

The Street Fighter themed Super Combo will not only satisfy your hunger, it will also satisfy your love of video games - what a combo! Their selection of delicious burgers are complemented by a selection of sides, alongside a unique collection of specialty sauces with a mouth-watering list of shakes also available. Following the popularity and success of his Broadbeach restaurant, Peter Glouftis opened The Lamb Shop on King Street. With its Greek menu inspired by memories from his childhood, The Lamb Shop serves a modern twist on traditional lamb souvlaki as well as many other Greek inspired dishes like char grilled octopus.

The Brisbane Showgrounds is designed to provide exceptional services and facilities to all visitors.
The Royal ICC is wheelchair accessible on both levels and designated car parking spaces are located on ground level. Wheelchairs are also available from the Customer Relations team.
Individual accessibility restrooms are located on both the upper and lower levels of the Royal ICC and there is one ambulant toilet within each bathroom location.
There are taxi zones located outside Rydges Hotel and The George Bar and Bistro on King Street.
Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a 10 minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds.

You can also choose to ride the CityGlider buses, which provide high-frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner, while the free City Loop bus service is perfect for exploring the CBD.
