With a variety of artworks on display honouring the cultural heritage of precinct as it moves into the future with the regeneration project. From murals to neon art of iconic imagery, to punch metal art and light installations on the footpath, the history of the showgrounds is highlighted in a captivating way, enhancing the experience of the precinct.

Explore the history of the 145 year old Brisbane Showgrounds by visiting our 12 heritage trail points, from iconic grandstands to animal pavilions.
Neon Strawberry Sundae
Created in collaboration with QUT Creative Industry students the artwork is inspired by the nostalgia and family memories Queenslanders have from the Ekka. Placing the sign at the end of the old Dairy Hall is a way for everyone to relive their experience with the Strawberry Sundae all year around.
Neon Kookaburra
Created by Australian Aboriginal artist Keko Rennie the neon Kookaburra art installation sits proudly on King Street viewing and chattering about what happens within our precinct.
Street Art Mural
Painted by Anthony Lister this Ekka inspired mural highlights many of the iconic traditions of Queensland largest and most loved annual event. The Ekka brings the country and city together for a true celebration of agriculture.
